The Arifa Foundation is dedicated to bringing about favourable socioeconomic development in rural communities by educating its citizens. We have been assisting poor rural youth in Nagapattinam district to pursue their educational goals for more than 20 years. We have witnessed that students had to leave their hometowns to pursue high-quality education because the area lacked with world-class education. After contemplating the idea for several years, we established Point Calimere International School in Nagapattinam district in 2012. International educational experts have created our curriculum to comply with primary and secondary education standards around the world. Nearly 10,000 students from Vedaranyam and Nagappatinam are learning and developing their skills at our school.
The focus has now turned to tertiary education after what has been achieved in schooling. We established Arifa Institute of Technology (AIT) in 2018 at Esanoor Village in Nagapattinam District with the goal of providing cutting-edge and international education in Engineering & Technology. Together with educators and industry leaders from around the world, we will integrate cutting-edge technologies like robotics, artificial intelligence, nanotechnology, virtual and augmented reality, process automation, and more into the curriculum. To support growth and creativity among our students, we intend to open technology incubation centres, a centre of technological excellence, and specialised R&D facilities on campus.
We plan to collaborate with major global companies for Technology Excellence as well as Placement Opportunities for our students. Our infrastructure, teaching methodology, coursework, and mode of delivery will be modelled on European and US standards of education to provide unparalleled learning benefits to students. We hope to fulfill the dreams of many rural youngsters by providing state-of-the-art technical education that is accessible to all.
