About AIT

Arifa Institute of Technology is a self-financing engineering college approved by the AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The college is located at Esanoor, which belongs to Nagapattinam district in Tamil Nadu. This place is situated about 15 kilometres from Velankanni, which is known for a shrine called the Basilica of Our Lady of Good Health. The college campus is spread over 14 acres of land efficiently utilized for the college, hostel, canteen, play-fields, and gardens.

The college was formerly known as Haji Sheik Ismail Engineering College, and it was originally launched to serve the community in 2013. Later, it was revived as Arifa Institute of Technology in 2018. The greatest aim of the college is “Transforming Dreams into Realities,” therefore the place is named “Arifa Knowledge Village.” It is a great dream of the chairman of the college, Dr. M. Sulthanul Arifeen. His motto resembles the ideologies of former Indian President Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam to bring up downtrodden youths.

The college offers the under graduate programmes B.E. in Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and B.Tech. in Artificial Intelligence & Data Science. The college is accomplished with the excellent faculty, students, campus, alumni, and resources offered by the management. The college administration offers space for conducting various programmes to both faculty and students. The college maintains close interaction with several R&D institutions and institutions of higher learning at the national level and also has close collaboration with industries and technological fields. Placement is given more importance to illuminate the careers of the pupils. AIT strives to be known as innovation in engineering education, research, and knowledge application for societal good by introducing new programmes and involving into innovative activities.
